they certainly do give extra consideration to those classes and the IB program in the admissions process. You are asked specifically to list them on your application.

The difference is that at Utah or Utah State you are basically given credit for an associates degree upon entrance if you have completed the IB diploma, but at BYU they look at each class you took and have a list of which ones qualify for credit toward graduation.
