I can tell you that Davis certainly went too far, he's lucky it's just a misdemeanor because it could've been worse.

I will also say that I can see why someone told Monty that it was no big deal, because really it was not big deal and the word "riot" being thrown around sounds a lot worse than what it actually is, but Davis crossed the line and is lucky that he appears to be getting off a bit easy.
