high in other areas of the country. The only place that I have ever heard much talk about the University of Utah (other than the Internet) is, well, the state of Utah. For most of my life, the only time I would give any thought at all to the Utes has been when BYU (or other teams that I follow) played them. Even in those cases, it's typically just the week leading up to the game. I guess I do have more awareness of the Utes now since they're in the Pac, and play against more of the teams that I follow, but at best they're just another team on the schedule. More often than not, it's a disappointment to see them on the schedule, since that takes up a spot that could be filled by an opponent that I'm interested in seeing.
