If we played Utah, 1 other PAC, and 2 others from SEC/B1G/ACC/Big12
That's a pretty good schedule with at least 2 p5 home opponents per year. Not bad.
Also, an AAC like that should be pushing hard for an 8 team CFP with an auto bid.
Since I am not under th delusion that ESPN will be able/willing to renew BYU's TV deal in 2019, I can see wisdom in joining an AAC with lots of bowl game tie ins, a possible CFP berth, likely NY6 berths, a stable media situation, and a decent schedule.
