Houston would be such a stupid choice
Why add a team to the conference that brings absolutely nothing?
The Texas market from a fan and recruiting perspective is covered. They already have Texas, Baylor, TCU, and Texas Tech in the conference. TCU was an act of desperation to stabilize the conference. That's not the situation here.
It's like the P12 trying to add San Jose to better cover the California market. It does nothing for you. The conference will expand outside of Texas. Plus the other Texas schools certainly don't want somebody from in state joining the conference.
It's like BYU trying to get USU into a conference with them. Just plain stupid.
