I think "I don't like this team," is a little harsh, but I would agree that I
don't really enjoy watching this team. They are far too inconsistent, with snipits of amazing plays interspersed with far too many lapses in judgement. There is far too much hero-ball forced shots on offense, and really even possibly too much hero ball on defense also. They can play great defense at times, and force some steals, block some crazy shots, but are then out of position far too often while trying to make the "big play." As a result, patient teams simply bide their time, and almost everyone seems to have career shooting nights against us.

I think there is just too much unspoken emphasis on being "the guy" to "bring it" and make the "big play" when the "team needs it," both on offense and defense. They seem to be able to justify it in their own heads that they are just "trying to help the team" in key moments, but I'm not convinced that the motives are pure enough to make a good "TEAM," and may be skewed a little too far towards other more individual motivations and aspirations. I may be wrong, but I have my concerns about these issues based on the results and the evidence. These players are all talented, but perhaps just a bit too talented for their own britches to play well as a team. There may be just too many who somehow envision they are the next Jimmer, rather than envisioning their team as the next great BYU conference champion.
