I liked that Carlino wanted to be the next Jimmer. I like that Fischer came to BYU because of the things he saw Jimmer doing. I like that Steven Beo turned down scholarship offers at UW and other schools because of the freedom of the position. But these guys have to start out with a role that puts them in the best position to succeed. Tyler Haws ran the same curl around a screen for an elbow jumper and the same back cut for a layup all year long and had his best shooting stats of his college career. Collinsworth as a freshman was mainly a wing who squirmed along the baseline for layups or dished to other bigs inside. It is looking like a mistake right now to give Emery so much freedom offensively.
