Now, credit where credit is due, Mark Cuban might be the best owner in the NBA, and Rick Carlisle in the conversation with Pop as best coach. The Mavs have been successful because they have an excellent culture from the top down, an unselfish star, and superb coaching. In no way has free agency been a significant factor in their success.
