The reason the Jazz are better positioned for he future is because we've sucked for the better part of the last decade. We've had high draft picks. We SHOULD be better positioned for the future than most other teams. Is that what we're bragging about here?

If gladly trade the last 15 years of Jazzdom for the last 15 yrs of what Cuban has done. Say what you want about the guy but at least he keeps the Mavs relevant. I think they've been to the playoffs every year but one since Cuban bought them.

I like that he's too stubborn to sell off assets and tank. Could have moved Dirk a while back and sunk to the NBA cellar with us, Orlando, Milwaukee and Philly and collected draft picks at the expense of competitiveness, but didn't.

While I think that's the only approach for long term success in the NBA (either be really good or really bad) I hated our bad years as a fan. It sucked not mattering. Now that there is a glimmer of hope in the future, it's our turn to bash other teams?
