I think I'm just uneducated on what closed means
I think what I'm looking for is an open-mediated type of adoption. I'm ok with exchanges between the child and birth mother through a third party.
But we really haven't discussed that part much yet. I guess only 5% of adoptions now are actually closed. I had no idea.
