One of the local troops here (non-LDS) pulls in 15k per year
with their annual pig roast and BBQ sale. They've got a wealthy local farmer that raises several animals and donates them to the troop to roast and sell in the form of BBQ sandwiches that they sell for $8 a piece. It's quite the production.

Not sure who organizes the whole thing, but it's a nice source of revenue for the troop.
