I'm surprised at how many people are so bothered by this discussion of millennials.
By your own admission many of you have said that every generation complains about the generation before it. On the other hand many of the same people have said that millennials have just inherited problems that weren't their own. Guess what? That's life.

Every generation has born the burden to some degree of problems it didn't have a hand in creating, just as it benefits to some degree from work that it didn't do. The difference here is that it seems millennials want to accept the benefits without working to fix the problems.

Of course it's not your fault that the economy and other systems aren't doing great, but to absolve yourself of any responsibility to have a better life through work is asinine. You always have choices, whether you want to sacrifice what it requires in your situation to get to where you want to be is not anyone's problem but yours.
