Partly my family situation...
On the days we travel, though, we attempt to minimize recreation. We make arrangements to prepare food and snacks before leaving. And, yes, we do usually figure out a place to stop, change clothes, and attend the whole block of meetings. I have found those to be very rewarding meetings, where I have a different setting, different responsibilities, and can sit and enjoy the Spirit of the Gospel. My kids get to experience diversity amongst continuity, and it helps us remember our priorities and covenants.

I am by no means saying this is the right approach, and I am not even certain it is the right thing for our family. But, it helps us remember it is the Sabbath. The music in the car is also religious, combined with some Conference sessions, or talks, whatever.
