This won't be a popular opinion on this board...
But through the crimson colored goggles I am wearing, it looks like Utah just plays faster and more physical than BYU. I also think Utah plays faster and more physical than most (not all) of the teams BYU plays against.

To me, it makes sense that there is a correlation between team speed and turnovers.

"It's funny how the big, fast physical teams always create turnovers." University of Kentucky offensive coordinator Randy Sanders.

"I think anytime you have a faster defense, you have a chance of creating more turnovers. You’re going to get to the ball a little quicker, you’re going to get there a little more physical." Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Dean Pees.

Last year, Utah finished second in the nation in total takeaways and fourth in the country in turnover ratio. So, it's not just BYU that has a hard time hanging onto the ball against Utah.
