The AAC by-laws mandate a 27 month wait period and a payment of $1 million per month for each month the team wants to leave sooner than 27 months. Also there is a $10 million dollar exit fee.
Its one reason I think that if they are inviting an AAC schools the expansion announcement happens fast.
The time to leave the MWC is June 30th. But that could be negotiated. Also there is a $5 million dollar fee. I could see the B12 inviting BYU and CSU right away, during August sometime, and then moving slower on two AAC schools knowing they will wait to join in a couple of years.
I guess Tulane is becoming a darkhorse as well.
