The point is....
That the big 12 would not go in with a threatening demeanor, they would approach it in a manner of compromise. Enough schools have jumped ship from conference to conference over the last half decade that it is pretty obvious they can get it done if not to everyone's satisfaction at least to something everyone will agree to do.

The conferences losing members are going to have to be willing to compromise as well because if they dig in that school can leave in a coup,e of years anyway and they get nothing at that point. It is in everyone's best interest to work something out and so they will. These guys are nothing if not pragmatic when it comes to their bottom lines, they all want to get everything they can get without having to work all that hard for it. Lawsuits are hard, and expensive, negotiations are much easier and cheaper.
