Hey..first I'm all for expansion and if we don't add BYU I might actually write a letter to the big 12 Presidents asking for an explanation because it would be monumentally stupid to invite BYU..WTS..I see this conf. Expanding by 4 teams..it's too much $$ to pass up..When this happens the big 12 is saying goodbye to ESPN and Fox..I think writing is on wall anyway in 2024 because ESPN has BIG, ACC and SEC Network as well as Fox. My guess is the big 12 will be the first conference to 16 and first conference to start a digital/streaming network with Netflix or Hulu type..Netflix is huge and looking for content and we will see bids to jump into college football with the big 12 to start between 8-10 digital online companies. Right now iowa st cyclone tv our Tier 3 network is on Roku and Apple TV as an App. It's awesome. BYU own network would seemlesly do the same..

Now with all that said..none of this happens without an extended GOR...word was early in this expansion rumor that Texas wasn't going to extend GOR..I think that was a bargaining chip. I honestly still don't know whether Texas really wants Houston or not. From a competitive standpoint it makes zero sense for Texas..but from a defensive standpoint it makes total sense. Houston is an SEC market right now both in recruiting and TV. Houston boosts the #4 tv market in Amercia. With digital content being the future and if the big 12 moves to where the future is which is a network on Netflix type etc..then adding team with a brand along with a large alumni is far more important than current TV ratings.

Last...nobody on any media outlet has given me one good reason for Texas to leave the big 12..not one...money certainly isn't it because Texas makes more $$ than any team in America and will continue to do so thanks to the LHN..why give that up? Also does anyone think Texas wants to go to the BIg and play 70% of their games in the North? Heck no. Join the PAC which might be in worse shape than the big 12? Heck no. And Texas hates the SEC..

No GOR extension then no expansion...simple as that. If other schools vote to expand with no GOR extension and it happens then worry.
