Further, I think all any of us wanted last night was to see Tanner in for a couple of offensive series. If he goes three and out both times that isn't going to kill his confidence. If anything, it's got to kill Tanner's confidence to be watching the offense sputter and know that the coaches have no confidence that he could do any better. So the boos and absence of playing time last night should have said to Tanner: The fans have faith in you but the coaches don't.
