Then my wife, who is remarkably observant, said:
I don't know what you were expecting. He has never been an accurate passer. Ever.
So I went back and watched all of the games I could. She is right. Taysom cannot anticipate the open receiver. He can only throw once he sees that he is open. This goes back to time zero.
With his pre-injury legs, he is Tim Tebow--an excellent college QB against opponents who don't prepare well for his legs.
Post injury, he is an average, or slightly above average college QB with average to below average receivers and an average line.
It is not a recipe for beating top 20 teams.
So anyway, we need to take some of the blame, because we were expecting something that Taysom has never really delivered as a passer.
