Most of the great BYU QBs at QBU didn't play as a freshman. Usually, when we play a freshman it's due to something bad - injury (such as Taysom last year), very ineffective play by the starter. I will say that Tanner was definitely more prepared for it than Beck, Heaps, or any other freshman I can remember that played.
