Taysom has not been sharp this year outside of the AZ game. There is no disputing that. But...
1. If the ball hits your hand, not fingertips but hand, especially both of them, you have to catch the ball. That is receiving 101 plain and simple. Every coach in the country would say the same thing.
As much as you want to make a point about QB play the very same could and is being said about the receiving corps. There are FAR too many drops by them. Having said that, they are a young group outside of Juergens, Kurtz, and Pearson. They will get better.
2. I totally agree with your assessment on Tanner. He was a new QB with little time under his legs. I'm with you in that he deserves a chance to show his worth. I FIRMLY believe we'd be 4-0 with him behind center. Taysom is too one dimensional and defenses know that. Unfortunately, even his "one dimension" is failing him. It might be by design but I think it has more to do with being skiddish.
Long story short, the offense is not clicking, despite the point total this weekend. Taysom is a fine player, but Tanner is the future. Time to make a football decision (ie. not a Bronco heart decision by playing a kid because he's well liked) and get our future offense ready for next year.
