After reading this, I believe there are too many egos, and way too much dysfunction for this to all come together.

BYU won't sell their souls to get in, and that will keep us out.
I still believe that we have a unique spot in college football, but sure doubt it is in the Big 12 as it is currently comprised. Maybe if TX and OK bolt, we can come in an fill the void and make a nice conference, but there are way too many moving pieces to see that happening anytime soon.
PAC 12 is completely out, as the last school that would help us to get in would be Utah. They'd rather see us die a slow death than stand up and support our cause. No other power conference makes any sense, besides the Big 12 or PAC 12. Independence is far better than being in the Mountain West conference.
