Exactly. They study football, they form opinions and beliefs based on that study but those opinions "may" be wrong.
Hence it is - by definition - a guess.

Coaches are sometimes wrong. We've seen it a lot. They were wrong last night about more than one thing. It's not outside the realm of possibility that they're also wrong by not playing Tanner. It may be unlikely, but it's not outside the realm of possibility because in the end the coaches are.... guessing.

Those pushing Tanner may also be wrong. It could be that the best QB on the team is the third string - it wouldn't be the first time that had happened....

I only argue this because it's such a weak argument on a message board to state: "The coaches said so and they're right".

In that case, the 4th and long from the endzone was brilliant and shouldn't be discussed. right?
