It's been known that BYU was the first to tap into the Poly pipeline and have had that advantage decades before other programs. Mormon athletes have historically had BYU on their radar too, no matter where they play HS ball. Polynesians and members of the church are reasons the program is where it's at today. Why do people keep saying the program is at a disadvantage because of the honor code, etc? Do away with the honor code (or whatever is holding back recruiting) and any affiliation the school has to Polys and its members and what's stopping BYU from being the next UNLV?
