The only way BYU is going to move forward in a meaningful way is to try and be big time. That means moving beyond the 'small pond' model and doing the best we can to develop a P5 indy program.
BTW, you know who else doesn't want to be associated with 'lowly G5' conferences? Recruits who have an option to play in a P5 conference. The minute you join G5 you lose plausible deniability that you aren't small time.
