The fact that people have to put a qualifier on his performance (fresh off his mish, true freshman, etc.) says that they know he struggled mightily against decent competition. He just struggled less than expected for a freshman. His stats really tell his story for last year. While they're decent, they barely eclipse what taysom has done against a top 20 schedule. Tanner played the 65th toughest schedule. It's simply a huge leap in competition that we faced.
