If they would just make the playoff 8 teams and add a spot for the best G5 champ
this whole thing could be avoided.
There are very real differences between Alabama and Troy. They shouldn't get the same amount of money because they don't produce the same amount of money. But Troy should, in the dream season, have the right to win all their games and have a chance of beating Bama in the playoff, revenue notwithstanding. It's what makes March Madness so great.
Expand the playoff and make a spot for the G5, and over time these issues will subside some just like they have in basketball.
Another idea: relax transfer restrictions. Make it so the Blue Bloods have a harder time hording the talent.
