I didn't either until I moved to Cheyenne and then C.S.
Believe me (or don't, I'll not sweat it) there are many LDS that would never send their kids to BYU...Don't get me wrong, there are many that feel the same pride for their local school that we feel for BYU, but there are many that have some deep seated contempt toward the institution. I was amazed at how many pushed their kids to local schools - UW, UCCS etc... instead of any of the BYU schools.

I don't know any LDS that dislike BYU as an institution. In my experience, it's a portion of the Alumni that generate
