Byron McNertney All-American
Exactly, there were plenty of missionaries in my mission who had tons of
integrity, honor, and spiritual diligence, but who were also complete and utter wusses who couldn't handle the physical difficulties of the mission. We were in a third world country where life is hard, but they struggled mightily (and occasionally went home) without the comforts of their middle class American lifestyle.

In my home ward, the kid who was by far the most prepared spiritually for a mission is the one who didn't even make it a year because he got sent to the Philippines and couldn't handle the living conditions.
