It's almost the same. I see my young nieces and nephews do things I see dogs do
All the time at work. You'd be surprised. Like dogs at any age and one to two year olds basically think the same.
Both think a toy someone else has is better. Both discover the world through their mouths. Both have to be potty trained. Both will get jealous if they see someone else get attention. I could go on.

But dogs do need a lot of training and experiences as a puppy. They take a lot of time and patience to train properly.

Only big difference with dogs really is you can leave them home alone and unsupervised more often. It's not like dogs require no care or time at al. You still need to play with them, exercise them, feed them, etc. They just generally don't require constant supervision like a young child would.
