and what bothers me is people who have them and don't need to be with them 24/7 but act like they do. They're not allowed in certain locations, unlike service animals, and some people overreact or become overly defensive if confronted about it. In their eyes their needs outweigh the needs of others who may also have conditions such as asthma triggered by allergies, or even fears towards the animals. For these reasons among others, it seems completely reasonable to have limits that emotional support animal owners should be aware of and respect.
