Game Changer Walk-on
Lots of coaches struggle in the first few years. Look at Chuck Noll, Bill Walsh
or almost anybody else. Usually hired by a bad team, start out struggling, and hope to survive long enough to turn things around before getting fired. Probably the best example of this is Mike Krzyzewski. Nowadays consider pretty much the best college coach ever outside of John Wooden, but the first 5-6 years of his coaching career were not pretty at all.
