If nothing else, if your job may require relationships with other companies

i.e. partnership with other companies on projects, sales or consulting...then coming from a university that is 2x as large may signal to a company that you may have some more natural built in relationships to leverage for their business...

Just like having wealthy and powerful relationships helps with the traditional image of an Ivy grad these enormous universities have a value as well...
