If you take a salary you're not comfortable with then you need to try and change
it. It doesn't really matter how much other people make. If you and your employer don't agree to what your time is worth you part ways and look for a better match or find a way to make yourself more valuable to your employer.
I don't care what other people make (though because of my job I know what everyone makes). Its surprisingly fair IMO.
