has no problem benching his starters and playing the second team at the start of the half. At some point you have to send a message to the team especially if they refuse to play defense. It takes courage for a coach to do this and I would think that Rose has enough job security that he could afford to do this, but I may be wrong.

I do know that Tom H. dressed down the team for a 1/2 hour after the UVU loss at home and he made the men's team take a bus home from Vegas and let the women's team take the charter jet after the embarrassment of the WCC tournament. Rose is in a tough spot and he should play players that will play defense, team ball, and have good shot selection or he will not survive.
