No argument from me on that. Kilani did a lot for our defense and he has a great eye for talent.
However, Tuiaki only coached D Line for 2 years at Utah. The only NFL guys he worked with on those lines were Palepoi and Orchard. You could say he worked some with Reilly as well. I heard he was great with technique and taught how to improve hands with some of his MMA moves. That being said he deserves very little credit for Utah's current D line situation.
I'd argue you can give more credit to Gary Anderson for developing the recent success at D Line than anyone else. He was over that group for the longest time even when he was the D coordinator and he brought in a ton of great talent.
BYU can develop as great a D Line as Utah has no doubt. It won't be this year as this will be one of our best ever but they may be better next. Utah losses three of its starters. I think it will cycle who has the better line based off of who is graduating from both schools each year.
