1. JP is an ex-athlete...super competitive, probably good at finding slights (motivation...see MJ, he was a master at this)...let's cut him some slack on the reaction.
2. inasmuch as he thinks these comments could negatively affect his business, he has a right to be frustrated/upset.
regarding #2...people on CB seem to forget that we operate in this sort of fantasy bubble. the vast majority of us are anonymous (though some have figured out people's identity... ) and we discuss and talk about things anonymously on a sports message board. JP's business (and anyone else's business) is NOT anonymous. JP is not anonymous. it's SUPER easy for example, for foofcoug to insult nashty and for nashty (the CB persona) to not really take offense. but when you remove the anonymity it becomes personal. this is especially true when a guy's chosen field of work and livelihood is attacked. we biologically programed to retaliate this way and fight back.
i don't think anything said in those posts was super negative or bad but that doesn't really matter...I'M NOT THE ONE THAT MATTERS...JP is, and he didn't like it. why is it so hard to just say, "geesh...sorry bro...my bad" and move on with life, even if you disagree with the reaction?
