posters on CB only have a cursory knowledge of football and basketball, which are the two main sports discussed here. They may be rabid fans, but they have more in common with the pee wee league mom that yells "Get him get him GET HIM!!!" during every play then they do with a coach or college level player. Now individual sports like running, golf, etc. there is a lot of knowledge here. I would be surprised if more than 3 out of 100 cb users could break down a single play and explain to a layman what the responsibility of each player is. You don't have to be able to do that to be a huge fan, but when people spout off like they are experts, but have no real knowledge of the game it really grates on those that do.

I picture the average cber as a dude who sits in front of a computer in his Dockers with a patterned button down looking at spreadsheets all day. Most never played sports beyond a HS JV level and just parrot what they read online.
