Talking athletics. Yes you did get two BCS wins. Good for you, no one is taking that from you. BYU finished in the top 25 at least five times during that period. Also athletically, BYU has a better overall athletic portfolio than Utah and has for decades. So when we talk athletics, BYU was every bit as qualified if not more.
The fact is that BYU is Mormon owned, won't play on Sundays, and is in the same tv market as Utah. Those are the real reasons they weren't invited.
One thing is for sure, once Utah got invited inside they became the P5 snobs they despised one year prior.
