Your athletic portfolio is irrelevant...
...as this was a FOOTBALL decision, and Utah had the better football program. So did TCU. Not surprisingly, the only two midmajors to make that jump from non-AQ to AQ were the two winningest non-AQ teams vs. BCS schools, and the ONLY two programs who'd posted winning records against them.
Also, as had been mentioned NUMEROUS times -- by your own fans, the media, and your athletic department -- "Sunday play" was NOT an issue. It's just the "sour grapes excuse" Yners use after they've been "Fully Rejected". Again.
