I agree with you in theory...
I don't think we are better without Eric Mika. However, if losing Eric Mika is the impetus for us to play with more ball movement, motion, and more three pointers, I think that our team could (as a whole) be better next year than it was this past year. My point is that I am not sure if it would have been better for Eric Mika's pro goals to play in that sort of offense (his stats might have taken a step back if he was not the key focal point of our offense), and I am not sure if Dave Rose would have changed the offense around with Mika still there. Mika wasn't the focal point of the offense when he was at LP either.

The ideal would have been to play a more run-and-gun style with Mika not as a focal point of our offense, but still getting a lot of points on pick-and-rolls, fast breaks, and extending his range.

In reality, I'm not sure if that happens if Mika stays though (that's my lack of faith in our coaching staff's ability to effectively adapt our offense to the personnel more than anything else).
