A few friendly points...
1. It does seem at least some on CB believe all three of your first listed points, but I only believe no. 3. I don't think it's an indictment of our program. His leaving doesn't automatically make me conclude he thought the program / coaching was inferior.

2. I do think his sticking around another year would have helped his draft stock. In my business when we promote people we often say they have to "ring the bell twice" in terms of revenue production. Doing it once can be random, but doing it twice goes a long way to show a pattern. If Mika had repeated his soph stats once more, I'd think NBA teams would have took more notice.

3. I disagree with you in that I think losing his scoring will be a challenge, and matters. And I agree with you replacing him on D is even more worrisome.

Bottom line for me is that of course I have to respect his life choices and I wish him well, but it was obvious to me at least he wasn't going to get drafted. As I posted yesterday, apparently there were other factors at work, including possibly returning to the land of his and his wife's mission, and, as someone else theorized, possibly divine inspiration. I would have loved to see him dominate 2 more years and maybe have his number hanging in the rafters someday, but oh well. Unfortunately that's not how college hoops works anymore.
