As a former member of the BYU Marching Band...
I played snare drum in 2008 and 2011. I always knew people didn't really care for the halftime shows (as evidenced by the paltry cheers and empty seats during halftime), but I didn't care because I was having fun and loving going to the bowl games for free. One thing the crowd did go crazy for though was the pre-game Drumline show that we did in the Northwest entrance to the stadium. If you haven't seen it before, check it out this season. Everybody loves them some drums
