Obviously that was a different coaching staff but the scenario is similar. A popular coach becomes an OC for the first time and immediately tries to implement a pro-style type of offense working with a highly recruited QB who showed a lot of potential for greatness in his freshman season. Things like extremely promising in fall camp and in practices but when the season actually starts, that once confident gun slinging QB now looks confused and discouraged and his teammates equally so and you have an offense that can't seem to get anything going against good teams. Sound familiar? My hope is that they figure things out soon and we don't end up with a QB losing his starting job and an OC fired along with his staff.
