Players BYU typically recruits and can we recruit the type of player who can excel in the system. I tend to think that there isn't much variability in who BYU can recruit that it's pretty much the same targeted guys regardless of system and my concern is the "prototypical LDS Byu recruit" a good fit with the system Ty has in mind? Short of an option trained QB for an option system isn't Byu recruiting the best LDS players available rather than thinking that kid would be a good fit with our pro set offense? I don't think BYU has the luxury of picking and choosing based on that criteria. It also seems like many HS teams are running read option offenses and you're having to retrain kids who are more familiar with read option/spread offense than what Ty has in mind.
