romantic notion that playing for a G5 conference title would suddenly seem so meaningful. G5 conference titles aren't what they used to be.

Moving to a G5 conference wouldn't help us survive financially. We'd probably have to take less money than what we can get as an independent. How is that better? If we think we can't compete with the big boys now, how does a G5 move do anything other than make that even more difficult?

We are seeing a lot of overreaction to the first three games of this season. I remember many of the same people who are saying BYU football can't compete anymore saying the same thing in 2004. Bronco Mendenhall showed us it can still be done.

Going back to G5 would be waiving the white flag and saying we're forever content with trying to be the biggest kid at the little kids table.
