The Wisconsin game didn't even sell out. 8 years ago had Wisconsin came to Provo, you get it would have sold out.

We as a fanbase need to come to terms with the fact that..
1. We aren't a P5 school, we don't make good coaching hire decisions to be considered a P5, we don't or can recruit like a P5... we talked an amazing talk about wanting to be a P5, but we aren't. The only thing P5 about BYU anymore, is the fan base. The athletic program as a whole is far from P5.

2. We will never get invited to a P5 conference. The BIGXII is going to be picked apart whenever or if there ever is another expansion cycle. Our religious affiliation keeps us out of any P5 conference, that's the absolute reality of it.

ALL the teams in our position that went P5, didn't go P5 by being independent first. Independence doesn't get us anywhere faster or positions us better. Houston and Cinncinati were most likely going into the BIGXII without us, and they are G5.

People keep mentioning the Independence money... exactly what has it done for us? Recruiting is the same, we hired high school coaches on offense, coaching hires hasn't changed. If we ant G5, our coaches would be paid far less then half of the G5 schools around. And our ESPN is going away... no way that gets renewed.

We are a G5 program, most of it is self imposed, other parts is politics ... that's the reality of it.
