For not being a paradise to the eyeball, it seems that a boat load of people (LDS and non-LDS) want to be there. Utah is a great place to live. Mountains are beautiful year round.

I would take the Wasatch Front desert over Henderson or Phoenix deserts...now those ARE ugly places. Tucson. El Paso. Any where in NV. That is ugly stuff.

I DO know what you're are saying. My wife and I sometimes wish that the "Right Place" was somewhere in northern CA...maybe San Diego would have been nice.
