I don't live in Layton but I live nearby. There are a few spots that I would

avoid in Layton, but if you look East of I-15 it's generally pretty good. West Layton has some good news subdivisions going in as well.

If you like that area, Syracuse and West Point are a little farther out but have a lot of new development recently that is more affordable than Layton/Kaysville.
