This narrative is cute but the reality is after 17 games the offense has not
improved, has not showed any potential, has not developed an identity, but HAS managed to take proven-commodity talents and make them look worse.

17 games. That's a lot.

So, yeah, patience during change is appropriate. But at what point are historically bad offenses unacceptable? Year three? Four? All you're doing is kicking the can and hitting the reset, regime change button down the road.

17 games is a large enough sample size to know the current offensive direction is the wrong one. Talk of firing Detmer is premature and dumb, but admins and KS can't wait another 17 games to make serious changes: scheme, coaches, etc.
